Nick Cannon On “Drumline 2″

Are you ready for a Drumline 2? My answer was an immediate "eh," but I also took into account that I'm not the target audience — i.e. someone under the age of 25. According to Nick Cannon, a sequel to the popular film is on the horizon — plus a TV show. I'll alert my younger kinfolk to help build anticipation. In the meantime, here's Mariah's man breaking the news down in a series of tweets: Shout out to everyone watching Drumline right now. EXCLUSIVE NEWS: I'm producing Drumline 2 and the TV show for VH1. U GON' GET THIS WORK!!!; Wait to you guys hear the storyline for Drumline 2! #hardtokeepsecrets it's been over a decade since the first one. #classic; SPOILER ALERT: I'm not the main character. Ne-Yo on R.E.D

It was one of those New York nights I've always thought I would experience before I ever packed up a U-Haul and left my humble country beginnings in the rear view. I was invited to an intimate evening with Ne-Yo as he played his latest album, "R.E.D.–" which is an acronym for Realizing Every Dream. It's obvious this album is a very personal one for Ne-Yo. From this private album listening to his inspirational title, I knew before I even walked in that I was about to hear music that would feel like...a hug, encouragement or even better, a testament as to what could happen if you dream and believe in yourself enough to realize it. As I entered the cozy venue, watched the flickering candlelight on each table, I couldn't help but notice my own testimony–a true full circle moment. Here I am, living my dream (as a result of first, realizing it) of being a writer in the Big Apple and Ne-Yo is about to hit the stage and explain how he's managed to realize his every dream. And it's because of his talents, he's able to share said dream with the audience, through his music. I still…

Jamie in 'Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Shocking news from Variety: Jamie Foxx is negotiating to star as the villain in the upcoming sequel to "The Amazing Spider-Man." The Oscar-winning actor would play Electro, a man who gets his super powers from a lightning strike. As Variety noted, Sony -- the studio behind "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" -- had no comment on the rumor, but Foxx kind of did. In a tweet posted just after the Variety news dropped, the actor commented that he dressed up as Electro for Halloween. @iamjamiefoxxJamie FoxxDressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well.November 1, 2012 7:14 pm via WhoSay Reply Retweet Favorite Electro first appeared in a 1964 Spider-Man comic. His inclusion in the new Spider-Man universe was alluded to at the end of "The Amazing Spider-Man"; a post-credits sequence featured a shadowy figure ominously chatting with Dr. Curt Connors (The Lizard) while lightning flashed in the background, causing some fans to speculate that Electro was the next obstacle for Peter Parker. (Whether that shadowy figure was supposed to be Electro was left intentionally unclear.) If Foxx signs on, he would be just the latest talented star to board "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." In addition to returning leads…

Things About Prince

Prince's birthday was on June 7th and he doesn't have a new album coming out, so we're going to assume that Buzzfeed.com made this nifty list because they were inspired by his Purple Majesty's pure, everyday awesomeness (or Diddy's Halloween costume). Check out some of the things they dug up about Prince Rogers Nelson. 2. He Danced With James Brown When He Was 10 "My stepdad put me on stage with him and I danced a bit until the bodyguard took me off," Prince told MTV in 1985. He would later dance with Brown – and Michael Jackson! – in this astonishing footage from a concert at the Beverly Theatre in Los Angeles in 1983. B.B. King was also on stage! 6. He Wanted Vanity To Be Known As "Vagina" Prince also ghostwrote and produced a record for Vanity 6, a trio fronted by Denise Matthews, a woman he was dating in the early Eighties. He wanted her to go by the stage name Vagina – pronounced "va-geena" – but she refused, and went with Vanity instead. The group was called Vanity 6 because among the three members, there were six breasts. 11. He Intended To Release An Entire Album…

Ne-Yo Talks Being Useless Around Beyonce

R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo is full prootional mode for his forthcoming fifth studio album, R.E.D., due in stores Tuesday, November 6. Prepping for his November 5th Fuse Takeover, the "Let Me Love You" crooner opened up with the portal about a plethora of topics, including working with Beyonce and Jay-Z. "Working with Beyoncé is some of the most useless I've ever felt because she doesn't need any help," Ne-Yo told Fuse. "She's that good. I think I might have stepped out of the room to get tea, came back, and the song was done." Ne-Yo, who also worked with Beyonce's husband Jay-Z, brags about his intelligence. "I was in the studio with Jay and it was amazing that this man does not write anything down. If you've ever taken the time to break down a Jay-Z lyric and just how many double and triple entendres he uses, the fact that he doesn't write any of that stuff down just speaks to the intelligence of the man." Tia on Tamera's Pregnancy

Sister, sister! Tia Mowry offered her input about identical twin sister Tamera Mowry's imminent due date. While she told Us Weekly that she "will be in the room with her coaching her," she also expressed doubt that Tamera would be able to go through the natural birth she has planned to do. "She is my sister and we can't take the pain. Pain and us, we just don't mix. She is trying to be brave, which is good... but I don't think she is going to make it," she told the publication. Tia and Tamera, 34, are the eponymous stars of the Style Network's reality show. Tia is the mother of a 15-month-old, with husband, actor Cory Hardrict. This is the first baby for sister Tamera, who is married to Fox News correspondent Adam Housley. She is set to give birth to a boy at the end of the month. In August, Tamera documented her pregnancy process on her People blog, writing, "I'm embracing my new body and is changes by constantly telling myself, 'Chipmunk cheeks are cute, right?' RIGHT?!"   http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/29/tamera-mowry-pregnant-tia-mowry-sister-pregnancy_n_2038838.html?utm_hp_ref=bv-pop-culture

Then Will got the crowd even more hyped up when he performed "Summertime" and the theme song from "Fresh Prince of Bel Air." Doug E. Fresh then went on to show where the Dougie originated from as he spit "La Di Da Di" to the beat of "Teach Me How to Dougie". Tigers World Series Songs

The Detroit Tigers will face off tonight against the San Francisco Giants in Game 1 of the 2012 World Series. Will those Bay Area brawlers take down our Motor City maulers? It's not just a baseball game -- it's a culture war between yoga-bending, chowder-slurping West Coast softball fans and the down home, beer-drinking, kielbasa-noshing spirit of a true Tigs lover. The outcome of Game 1 isn't assured. But we've already beat San Fran where it counts --in the battle for geographical music superiority. San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury may have once been synonymous with the hippie, free love movement of the 1960s. But in terms of songwriting ability and long-lasting historical relevance, we'd argue that Motown's racial and political significance outlasts that of San Fran. Plus, let's get real, nobody wants to dance to Starship. They've got 4 Non Blondes. We've got a couple of non-blondes called The Supremes. They claim Linda Ronstadt. We get Aretha Franklin singing the National Anthem at Comerica Park's Game 5. E-40 was good, but Eminem is better. The Steve Miller Band still wakes up every morning wishing they could write songs like Bob Seger. The ode to their city is "San Francisco (Be Sure to…

Underrated black tv shows

Name the classic black TV shows and the usual suspects always get named: "Cosby Show," "Martin," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Living Single," "In Living Color," and so on and so forth. But we all know that the '90s and early '00s were the golden age for great black sitcoms, and while the ones already named got all the shine, a flurry of awesome ones deserved just as much love and notoriety for their hilarity, realness and for being just plain 'ol good TV. Here are nine of our favorites that could have used some more love (and views), and feel free to name your own underrated joints. Amen Aside from having a pretty awesome theme song, the show about a church in Philly and the people who kept it going was an underrated gem. Maybe the storyline was a little too different for some, but for those who watched, we know that it was delightfully humorous and smart. And while it didn't touch on the most serious of issues as early '90s sitcoms tried to do (AIDS, drug use, teen pregnancy, etc.), the wholesomeness of it all worked. It went for five seasons, and if you're a fan or…
